As a Dilnet SA, we’ve been “benched” to assist in webcasting the UP Diliman Lantern Parade occurring today. If you guys happen to have VLC installed (that orange traffic cone icon in your desktop) and you don’t want to view the stream from your browser, here are the instructions:

  • Open VLC
  • Go to Media Menu, then to “Open Network Stream” (or Ctrl+N) (see figure 1 below)
  • In the address, type: rtsp://streaming.up.edu.ph/lantern.sdp (see figure 2)
  • Click “Play” and wait for the stream to appear! (see figure 3)
