Its starting!

Though it doesn’t defeat the greatest catchphrase of the season (Winter is coming!) Type-MOON has some extra cash on it hands to warrant a spinoff mini-series  based on the characters of their Fate/Stay and Tsukihime franchises. Its pretty hilarious, which makes it feel more like something Kyoto Animation would pull off rather than them, since it has that random cohesiveness that you get while watching Nichijou.

If this were a joy ride, I would be barfing... in laughter!

Thanks Nichijou, I have never laughed out loud in these past two seasons as I have when I watched you.

The last time someone pulled off a random, slice-of-life anime of this proportion was probably Azumanga Daioh, and surely whatever they started, Nichijou took to the next level.

Surely, Mai’s trolling, the world trolling Yukko and the cutesy Professor saying Sakamoto-san! while throwing a tantrum at Nano will be missed.

Cheers to randomness, and hopefully an anime will evolve this genre further in the succeeding years.

When I heard that this anime was from Gainax, I decided to give it a try and follow it for the season. The story (thus so far) is about Huey Anthony Disward inheriting his late grandfather’s vast collection of books, and with it the mysterious Dalian – the guardian of the Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian.
